Education Art Festival 2024 UPGRIS Held. The festival is entitled: Visual Aesthetic Ethics. Exhibition at the Cultural Building (GB) Hall of PGRI University Semarang, Thursday (30/05/24). Meanwhile, the exhibition will last until 31 May 2024.
The 4th "Education Art Festival" fine arts exhibition (EAF#4 2024) sponsored by the PGSD, PGPAUD, BK, FIP study program of Universitas PGRI Semarang was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Dr.Ari Handayani S.Pi, M.Si with a marker scratching paint on the canvas.
Ari Handayani, in his speech, said he appreciated everyone involved in this festival. This activity, which was attended by hundreds of students and involved practitioners and artists, is expected to be beneficial and sustainable. "Hopefully this festival, which has become an annual activity agenda, will further improve its quality and be beneficial for the community," said Ari Handayani.
Previously, Chair of EAF Committee #4 Reza Muhammad Noor in his report said that this activity was UPGRIS collaborating with academic and non-academic art partners. Meanwhile, the festival was attended by 600 students together with Teaching Practitioner #4 partners, artists and the fine arts community and other arts practitioners.
Student participants apart from PGRI University Semarang, also from Jambi University, Tarakan Borneo University, Ngudi Waluyo University, Medan State University, Quality Berastagi University, Makasar State University, Semarang State University, Sultan Agung University, Muhammdiyah University of North Sumatra, Pringsewu University Lampung, Muhammadiyah Sorong Education University, and the South Tapanuli Education Institute. Apart from that, continued Rofian, students from SMK N 4 Semarang, SMA Al Uswah, SMKN 1 Blora, and the Merby Club Children"s Education Institute will also take part.
"In this annual EAF event, there are no less than 1100 visual works on display. "Apart from that, there are also various performing arts," added Reza.
Meanwhile, Singgih Teaching Lecturer Adhi Prasetyo added that the national scale event is an annual event which is entering its fourth year.Organizing, this fine arts exhibition has become a tradition among PGSD FIP UPGRIS students.
Over the years, continued Singgih, this event has become a forum for students to display their creativity in the form of works of art in the form of paintings, installations, drawings, illustrations and others.
"The festival is not only limited to presenting works, but is also a presentation event that gives students the opportunity to introduce their creative-aesthetic processes to the public," explained Singgih.
According to Singgih, with this process there will definitely be interesting works, even interesting presentations in the Fine Arts presentations or exhibitions that are held.
"So it is appropriate for us to appreciate the festival which involves many parties and the number of spectacular works reaches more than 1000 works," said Singgih.
Meanwhile, M. Salafi Handoyo as curator hopes that the Education Art Festival (EAF) can build a large fine arts ecosystem involving communities, academics, schools, practicing artists, creative industry players, government, media, and arts and culture stakeholders.
"The form of the activity is not just an exhibition, but aims to build collaborative values. How do our young friends really understand creative team management and arts management? "Or if in lecture studies we call it Arts Governance," explained Handoyo.
Handoyo added that EAF#4 combines the principles of arts management work. The aim is to manage, organize and support arts and cultural activities so that they run effectively and sustainably.
"Covering various aspects, such as: Arts Organization Management, Curatorial, Fundraising & Marketing, Arts Administration, Public and Community Relations," he explained.
