The Lampung Satu Theater performance featuring the play "Where Are You, Radin" with director Iswadi Pratama succeeded in enchanting the audience who packed the Lampung Cultural Park Closed Theater Building (GTT) for three consecutive days. This epic story of the Lampung hero presents a spectacular and cool performance.
The theater performance held by Theater Satu Lampung from 5 -7 December was held thanks to assistance and support from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture through the 2024 Cultural Assistance Facilitation program.
Director and playwright Iswadi Pratama said, in Bandar Lampung, Sunday (08/12/2024), the epic story of the Lampung hero Raden Inten II was put on a colossal stage involving 113 artists from Lampung Province.
Iswadi further explained that this performance, which takes the form of an epic, is presented cross-dramatically; involving dance artists, martial artists, actors, speakers of Lampung oral literature, choir groups, video art, documentaries and installations. "With this cross-dramaturgical approach, we hope that the flavor of the epic performance will be thicker," said the Founder of Theater Satu Lampung.According to Iswadi, the performance "Where are you, Radin?" What he wrote and staged by Theater Satu did not intend to represent history in its entirety. Rather, it will present a reflection on the history of Radin Inten so that there are values that can be used as a basis for attitudes and ways of thinking to face today"s realities."It is indeed not easy to compile and put together puzzles about the history of Radin Inten II"s struggle because of limited data which can be different from each other. "Because of that, we are trying to explore values that can be reflected in our lives today," said Iswadi, explaining his concept.

"As background, we also present history in the form of the collapse of the VOC, the arrival of the Dutch East Indies, the collapse of the Sultanate of Banten and the implementation of stelsel culture in Lampung," explained Iswadi.
