Post-Disaster, Ciengang Village Residents Still Surviving in Nyalindung Refugee Tents

Sukabumi_SibatNyalindung (2/16/2025) – After the disaster that hit Ciengang Village, Suradita Village, Gegerbitung District, residents are still surviving in refugee tents. Many houses were damaged, so residents have not been able to return to their homes.
According to information from the authorities, logistical assistance is running low, including food and clean water, and several residents have complained about the condition of the tents which are starting to get damp due to the rain that has continued to fall in the last few days.
This situation does not discourage them from carrying out their activities during the day, residents continue to garden and plant crops. However, during the day and at night they have to sleep in emergency tents while resting after working all day even though the weather is rainy.
"We hope for further assistance, especially for house repairs so that we can return soon," said one of the affected residents.
Meanwhile, the local government together with volunteers continue to accelerate the recovery process by recording damage and distributing aid according to residents" needs. It is hoped that in the near future, the evacuees can return to their homes in safer and more decent conditions.
