Nine Charming Performers on the Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2023 Stage

Surakarta - The second day of the Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2023 Stage, Friday (2/09/2023), was celebrated with 9 performances by 5 performers from within the country and 4 performers from abroad. The second day of the event was no less lively than the first day, the event took place with performances from artists from Bandung, Solo, Kendari, Banjarmasin, Riau, Medan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.
Artist from Bandung, S. Sophiyah. K, collaborating with Tilik Sarira CreativeProcess from Solo, presented a performance entitled: “How Erectus Are We? :The First Masterchef”, a work that combines theatrical art, projectmapping, and animation in one presentation that represents the search for residues from Homo erectus in cooking culture.
Then followed by South Korea, represented by the N-Lions Taekwondo Demonstration Team from the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) who returned on the second day of SIPA 2023 by presenting a Taekwondo performance entitled "Spirit of Korea" as a surge in the spirit of Taekwondo throughout the world and uniting the world. Art Studio 8 Art Sultra from Kendari also showed off their talent on the SIPA 2023 stage with their work Wiwitahi.
Through Wiwitahi"s work, the 8 Art Sultra art studio tries to display the abundant maritime wealth in the waters of Southeast Sulawesi.
After the performance from Kendari, the Singapore delegation represented by Maya Dance Theater performed Random Chapters 2023, a collaborative duet that defines the intimacy of friendship.
The city of Banjarmasin also participated with the performance of The Legend Of Borneo by the Nuansa Ethnic Ensemble. Each piece from the Nuance Ethnic Ensemble,
tries to combine traditional instruments and modern instruments with various genres or musical genres, but does not eliminate local identity.
Meanwhile, the delegation from Taiwan, the Chinese Youth Goodwill Association, did not miss out on enlivening the event on the second day by presenting a performance entitled: Oriental Celebration of Spinning Light and Shadow. This work is specially designed to combine diabolo acrobatics, shining lighting and beautiful shadows, to celebrate the orientalist festival atmosphere.
The second delegation from South Korea to appear was Parknahoon Company
collaborated with Prof. Juju Masunah from the Indonesian University of Education
and Aryo Sunaryo from South Korea. This collaboration entitled Endless Flow
shows a representation of the relationship between humans and nature in a time of climate change.
The Zapin Dance performance entitled Zapin Tradition and Serumpun Kampung Zapin also contributed to the list of SIPA 2023 festivities presented by the Manjulang Budaya Meskom Bengkalis Studio. This performer from Riau tries to represent the essence of the Zapin Dance through a combination of poetry and Malay musical accompaniment which aims to be an educational medium for the community.
The performer from Medan, De Tradition, closed the series of performances on the second day of SIPA 2023 with a synopsis entitled; The "Sound of Sumatra". This work contains 5 song numbers, each entitled Ningkah, Welcome to Deli, Tenah Lau Binge, Bintang Simarondang, and Anak Beru. Like a life journey, Suara Sumatra presents the nuances and meaning of life in De Tradition"s homeland, namely Medan, North Sumatra.
Apart from presenting various performances on the main stage, SIPA Urban Market has also been busy with people visiting since it opened at 16.00 WIB. In the afternoon session of the second day of the SIPA series of events, a signing was also held
collaboration between SIPA and the Kutai Kartanegara Tourism Office. There is only one day remaining in the SIPA 2023 series of activities and the final day will close with a performance from Adibuat Paundrakarna Production and a fireworks display. Apart from being able to be watched live and for free at Fort Vastenburg Solo, the SIPA 2023 stage.
