The S1 Fashion Design Vocational Education Study Program at Ngudi Waluyo University (UNW), Ungaran held a Fashion Culture Festival & Art (FCF) event at the Hall & Courtyard of the H. M. Iskak Soepardi Building, Ngudi Waluyo University, Ungaran, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The exhibition titled: "The Emerald Of Equator" takes place from Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The exhibition and title of the work entitled: "The Emerald Of Equator" which was opened by Vice Chancellor 3 of UNW Ungaran University. Raharjo Apriyatmoko, SKM., M.Kes, this Friday (13/12/2024) was attended by Gravera Personata, S.Pd. M.M (UNW Ungaran Supervisory Board), Dr. Sigit Ambar. W,SKM. MM, Kes se (Vice Chancellor 1 UNW Ungaran), Rosalina, S.Kp., M.Kes (Vice Chancellor 2 UNW Ungaran), Dr. Kustiyono, S.Kom, SE, M.Kom. Ak (Vice Rector 4 UNW Ungaran) and Rina Purwanti, S.Pd. M.Si (Lecturer at UNW Ungaran).
Vice Chancellor 3 of UUNW Ungaran. Raharjo Apriyatmoko, SKM., M.Kes, appreciated the activities of the Fashion Culture Festival & Art. According to Raharjo Apriyatmoko, this student collaboration activity with professional artists and various communities is a place for joint learning. "This is an effort and creativity that should be appreciated. There are efforts to build networks and collaborations which ultimately increase public appreciation," added Warek 3 UNW Ungaran.
Chairman Yaumatul M said that this exhibition is a collaborative artwork and title work by students of the Fashion Design Vocational Education Study Program, Ngudi Waluyo University.
FCF presents various national artists" arts including AECI Satya Nirmana Foundation, Maretha Hati Natara Foundation, PGSD UPGRIS, Omah Sketsa, ISI Denpasar, ISI Suranarta, Gondorukem Batik Painting Community Denpasar Bali, Artkroobatik Surabaya, STKW Surabaya, SMK 4 Semarang, SMAN 2 Bae Kudus, PAUD Cahaya Mentari Ungaran, SMK Islam Sudirman 1 Ambarawa. and several individual artists from Central Java from Salatiga, Blora, Kudus, Jepara, Tegal, Pekalongan, and Purwodadi.
In addition, continued Yaumatul, this event was filled with a series of events ranging from work exhibitions, totebag painting workshops, games, exhibitions, music performances, dance, and fashion shows.
"At the peak of the event, the title of work from the 7th Semester Student of the UNW Fashion Design Vocational Education Study Program was displayed. As a form of creativity interpretation of students who will explore Indonesian culture in the form of contemporary fashion," said Yaumatul.
He further explained, the theme carried by The Emerald Of Equator means "Emerald of the Equator". The basis for choosing the title of the work raises the theme because of the many beautiful diversity of Indonesia. Starting from the beauty of nature, the diversity of cultural customs, such as the motto "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" where the diversity of cultures, different customs makes Indonesia beautiful and rich. Meanwhile, the first is the final project of learning in the S1 Fashion Design Vocational Education program. Second, Improving the quality of graduates of Vocational Education in Fashion Design who are competent in the field of fashion design. Third, Providing new breakthroughs in introducing Indonesia"s natural wealth and culture and Fourth, Honing students" creativity and imagination. Meanwhile, the target of appreciation for this work title is S1 Fashion Design Vocational Education Students, UNW Lecturers, UNW Students and the Community.
Secretary of the FCF Activity Committee, Mita, added that the Fashion Culture Festival is a celebration of the annual work of fashion design students. The event is not only about the title of work, but also about understanding cultural diversity through art.
"This event also offers workshops, fabric painting training on bags that are open to the public. FCF is an exhibition of students" works during the learning process. ," explained Mita.
