Genia Visinema Releases Lampung Language Film, "Rindu Arini"

In an effort to preserve regional languages that are increasingly marginalized, Genia Visinema has officially launched the production of a Lampung language feature film entitled "Rindu Arini".
This film is a form of concern for local culture which is increasingly being eroded by modernization, while at the same time presenting an inspiring story about struggles and dreams.
Directed by Rizqon Agustia Fahsa, "Rindu Arini" offers a different cinematic experience, in half of the film the dialogue is in Lampung.
According to Rizqon Agustia Fahsa in Bandar Lampung, Wednesday (05/02/2025), this 120-minute film aims not only as entertainment but also as a means of education and appreciation of Lampung"s cultural heritage.
Rizqoan further explained that this film tells the story of the journey of a girl named Arini (10 years old), who misses her parents who have long migrated to Jakarta. Driven by a deep longing, Arini tried to raise money for travel expenses to the capital. In an effort to save money, he helps Abah Musa (60 years old) sell soto around the village, a legendary soto seller who also has a life story full of meaning.
"Through Arini"s struggle, this film shows various aspects of Lampung people"s life, starting from the spirit of mutual cooperation, hard work, to family values that are still strong in local culture," explained Rizqon.
The story in the film Rindu Arini, continued by the director who lives in Pesawaran, is very touching. It is hoped that it will inspire many people to appreciate regional languages and ancestral traditions more.Cast and Production Support
This film stars talented actors and actresses, including Humaidi Abas as the male lead (Abah Musa) and Adzkia Ayuandira as Arini. Both of them bring their characters to life with full emotion and depth, strengthening the message this film wants to convey.
Apart from that, "Rindu Arini" received support from various parties, including Deddy Sulaimawan, Parles, Gilang Robbani, Ulil Amri MB, as well as a number of other figures who contributed to the successful production of this film.
