DKL Holds Lampung Art Camp 2024 at Wira Garden Bandar Lampung

The Lampung Arts Council (DKL) held the 2024 "Lampung Art Camp" art camp. This grand event carries the title: "Celebrating the Land of Pepper, Establishing Cultural Arts Knots" held at Wira Garden, Jl. Wan Abdurrahman, Batu Putuk, Bandar Lampung, taking place from 24 – 26 September 2024.
"Lampung Art Camp 2024" is a cultural art camp, an activity that involves the participation of artists, art communities, district/city art councils, journalists, social media activists, and others.
The "Lampung Art Camp 2024" activity involves participants who are specifically invited based on certain considerations. Participants are prioritized artists and Art Observers (aged 20-60 years) who still have great potential in advancing Lampung Cultural Arts.
The Chief Executive of the activity, Bagus S Pribadi, said that the theme of the "Lampung Art Camp" was "Strengthening Community Participation in Building the Lampung Arts Ecosystem."
This activity, continued Aviep, the nickname of the Chief Executive of this event, explained thatThis event is also intended to motivate Lampung people to celebrate the uniqueness of their own culture. Then it sparked to create a space for people from various artistic backgrounds to meet, interact, and build mutual understanding.
"This activity is also to reduce stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue and joint activities. Building people"s sense of identity and pride in their own cultural heritage," said Aviep.
He added that it is also a means to accommodate in raising the potential of Lampung cultural tourism by highlighting the beauty and appeal of local culture. Also to foster cooperation and friendship between the art community in Lampung.
In this camp activity, Aviep also aims to recognize each other, appreciate the diversity of art activities, learn how to take care of local culture, and carry out a series of real follow-ups afterwards. This activity can involve various aspects of art, especially those that intersect with art objects covering 7 aspects, namely: Music Arts, Dance Arts, Literary Theater Arts, Film, Fine Arts and Traditional Arts.
In this cultural arts camp, various activities will be held including: Gathering, Workshop, Discussion and Performing Art.
"The participants were involved in various activities that allowed them to learn about the different cultures that exist in Lampung. In addition, cultural art camps often provide opportunities for participants to interact directly with people from various backgrounds,""Aviev explained.
This is of course to be able to help build understanding, tolerance, and appreciation for existing differences. Through this activity, participants can build friendships across arts and enrich their perspectives on their respective branches of art.
"Cultural arts camps can also be an effective tool in supporting efforts to preserve cultural heritage and promote intercultural dialogue. This activity is also a form of refreshing activities that have been carried out a lot," concluded Aviep in his statement.
