The legendary Semarang City band Cleopatra will return to hit the Indonesian music scene in 2024. Its presence was marked by the launch of their remastered single "For You". The launch was held at Van Java Plus Graphics, Banyumanik, Semarang. Saturday, (27/07/2024).
After a hiatus of approximately 24 years, Cleopatra returned to show her skills. Cleopatra is one of the hit bands of the 90s that colored the world of Indonesian music. This legendary band from the city of Semarang had many songs that young people liked at that time.
Cleopatra Band started its career in the world of Indonesian music starting from the Campus Band. Cleopatra"s work was also marked by her frequent appearances on festival stages. Then in 1995 it succeeded in breaking through to the label.
Cleopatra"s first album was immediately popular and its sales exceeded the expectations of the band crew. What is interesting and surprising is that the single from Cleopatra"s first album even sat in the top charts for hits on various radio stations in the archipelago for a short time. However, unfortunately, due to the busy schedule of its personnel, in 2000 the Cleopatra band decided to go on hiatus.
At the launching event, Cleopatra"s old personnel were still members of this band, such as; Bodey Reo (Vocals), Aprie Nugroho (Drums), and Doni Wardana (Keyboardist and Music Director) assisted by additional players Gatot Pacifika (Guitar), Yoyok Werock (Bass) and Vita Novita (Backing Vocals). At this concert, Cleopatra still appeared fierce and attractive, inviting hundreds of music lovers to reminisce about the 90 singles "For You".
