Cap Go Meh 2575 Kongzili Celebration in Karangturi Spectacular, There is a Parade of 1000 Dragons

Cap Go Meh 2024/2575 celebration in Karangturi which is packaged under the title; The 1000 Dragon Parade involving thousands of students at Graha Padma, Semarang, Friday (23/02/2024) was lively.
The Cap Go Meh event began with a parade starting from the Sport Center to the Karangturi School Complex, Graha Padma, Semarang, attended by kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school students, Unkartur students and also teachers.
The parade, which involved thousands of people, began with the Karangturi High School paskibra line, followed by the marching band from SMAN 9 Semarang. The costumes of the carnival participants are dominated by red. There were also those wearing Cheongsam clothes, cosplay of monks Tong Sam Chong, Sun Go Kong, Cu Pat Kai, and Sha Wu Ching, replica warak ngendog, wayang characters Arjuna and Srikandi also had a fire dance, and liong and a thousand children carrying red paper dragon shaped. Then there were bazaars, lion dances and mass dances involving hundreds of students.
Chairman of the Karangturi National School Foundation, Harjanto Halim, in his speech claimed that the 2024 Cap Go Meh celebration in Karangturi was the most lively and largest in Semarang. Apart from the Kaenaval event, there was also a bazaar, Liong and lion dance attractions, as well as a fire dance.
"It is hoped that through this activity, students can see the cultural diversity that exists in Indonesia," added Harjanto.
Furthermore, Haryanto Halim, explained that on this occasion there was also an event to give eyes to dragons. This tradition of giving eyes to dragons is hoped that in the future the dragons will be able to fly into the sky. On that occasion, the Trustees of the Budi Dharmawan Foundation, accompanied by Harjanto, painted a picture of a dragon.
"With the gift of this dragon"s eye by the founders of the Karangturi Bud National School Foundation, it is hoped that in the Year of the Wooden Dragon, our country, which has just held elections, will be able to fly into the sky. This is hoped to be the first step in bringing hope for security, health, prosperity and success in this Year of the Wooden Dragon, said Halim.
