29th Anniversary, Marifood Disburses CSR Funds for the Construction of the Potehi Wayang Museum

PT Marimas Putera Kencana (Marifood) celebrated its 29th anniversary. The anniversary celebration of the powder drink producer was held at Marifood Hall, Temple Industrial Estate (KIC), Semarang, Central Java, Monday (30/9/2024).
CEO of Marifood, Harjanto Halim on this 29th Anniversary Marifood provided support in the form of distributing CSR funds of Rp 100 million for the Wayang Potehi museum in Gudo, Jombang.
Harjanto said that the Potehi Museum, which was initiated by Toni Harsono, not only exhibits art items but also plays an active role in fostering artisans and young puppeteers who participate in the development and performance of Potehi puppetry.
Harjanto admitted that he saw it directly when he visited the Potehi Museum in Jombang during the Cengbengan Gus Dur event some time ago, Pak Toni as the driver of puppet puppets in Indonesia was very extraordinary in caring for craftsmen and training local children to be puppeteers of puppeteries.
What made Harjanto moved to help build the Potehi Museum, Gudo, Jombang. The Potehi Museum not only exhibits works that deal with inanimate objects but also explores artisans and the future of potehi.
"This is what moved me to hand over Marifood"s CSR, one of which is to the Potehi Museum. Marifood considers it important to maintain cultural sustainability as part of its social responsibility. Hopefully my steps will be followed by other entrepreneurs,"
The founder of the Potehi Gudo Museum, Toni Harsono, was present to symbolically receive the CSR funds. He expressed his gratitude to Marifood, which has tried to help the development of the Potehi puppet museum.
Tini added that the Potehi Museum actually already has a place, but the construction is not yet comprehensive. Even though we have done a lot of activities and many researchers from abroad.
I am very grateful to the CEO of Marifood, Harjanto Halim for disbursing assistance in the construction of the Potehi Museum. We will use this assistance for the development of the museum," added Toni.
The founder of the Potehi Museum also explained previously in 2020 PT Marimas Putra Kencana (Marifood) to encourage the preservation of potehi puppets
provided assistance with 1 unit of Mobile Potehi Wayang Car. This Wayang Potehi car is used for the socialization of Wayang Potehi through performances around the archipelago to introduce and preserve cultural heritage.
Toni Harsono added that wayang potehi was recently staged at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris as an Indonesian Cultural Ambassador of intangible cultural heritage. In addition to performing in various cities in Indonesia, Wayang Potehi has also performed in Italy, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Penang.
